A discovery (or intruduction) flight, is a 1 or 2 hour flight where you can experience being a pilot for the first time. You will be on a plane sitting at the contols, next to a flight instructor with a similar set of controls, having your first flight lesson on the basics of flight and visual navigation, as the instructor hands you over the controls to experience and practice your first piloting techniques and maneuvers, all while enjoyin the breathtaking views from avobe.

You will experience first hand part of the the flight preparation process, how it looks and feels to be in control of an aircraft in flight and how it reacts to your control inputs,  build a better understanding on how planes fly, how pilots use visual references to navigate around, and experience first hand many of the safety measures aviators take to ensure a safe flight. 

All this makes the perfect experience for any aviation enthusiast, or any person courious about becoming an airplane pilot, to know if becoming a pilot is the right path to take. It tests your brain and motor skills, your fears and pasions, and gives you an inside look of the pilot role and how it might be fit for you. 

Since this is a flight lesson, you are able to log this flight time. If yo chose to, you would need to bring a pilot logbook with you to be able to log it and have it signed by the instructor. Properly logged, this flight time would count towards the flight time required for your first pilot certificate. There is a pilot shop available at the airport.

You can bring one more person with you that would sit in the back seat. This person will be able to listen/talk to the pilots (the instructor and yourself) and also will be able to take pictures, videos and enjoy the views and the flight with you.

The aircraft does not have Air Conditioner (normal for small planes), so cool, confortable clothing is recommended. The person that will be flying should wear closed footwear (shoes, sneakers), no sandals or crocs allowed.

• Fort Lauderdale Area / Everglades East.

  • Flying over other areas are available with prior request.

How much does it costs?

• $230 dollars for aproximately 1 hour, from engine on to engine off.

What does it includes?

• Flight (Instructor, plane, fuel, headset to use on flight).

  • Time includes entire flight portion and some ground movement (while engine on).

• Up to 2 persons (one piloting person, one non-piloting observer)

• Logbook signature to certify flight time (if logbook present)

• Free parking on premises.

Cancellations or Refunds?

• No fees and full refund if cancelled  by us due to bad weather, operational or mechanical reasons.

• 140$ cancellation fee if cancelled by customer within 24 hours of flight. 

• 140$ cancellation fee if flight has to be canceled due to incompliance to requirements before flight.

Safety is top priority:

You will be in the hands of an experienced Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) that will ensure a safe  and enjoyable flight for everyone onboard. Our aircraft is regularly maintained and inspected, and both the aircraft and instructor are up to regulations and legal for the flight and operation. Before and during every flight, the pilot checks for weather, inspects the aircraft, and checks on the passengers to decide if the flight can continue in a safe manner.

We reserve the right to cancel the flight if at any moment if the flight is deemed or preceived unsafe by the pilot in command. Flight is weather permitting. Please see our cancelation or refund section.
